Escape from Tarkov
Escape from Tarkov: Reading the space
Your kit is a ticket. Extracts are the only way that ticket pays. Hardcore extraction raids with gear fear, audio, and tight CQB. This page stays on reading the space so you can use it in the next session.
Reading the space
Interiors, stairwells, and extract camps are the real map. The map is doing more work than your hotkeys.
If you hear a bush and a bolt, you are not alone. Stop sprinting.
Heal in cover, not in a doorway. Surgery in a hallway is a highlight for someone else.
Keep the focus on audio, peek discipline, and extract planning. If the first two minutes are messy, reset before you stack another fight.
High ground and cover
Players, scavs, and your own noise. One peek can end a kit.
Check extracts on spawn, then loot toward them, not away.
When the space is bad, leave. Escape from Tarkov punishes people who stay because they already spent ammo.
A simple rule: 1. If you hear a bush and a bolt, you are not alone. Stop sprinting. 2. Heal in cover, not in a doorway. Surgery in a hallway is a highlight for someone else. 3. Check extracts on spawn, then loot toward them, not away.
Bad peeks
The usual Escape from Tarkov mistakes are Peeking the same head-glitch twice.; Bringing a fat pack into a map you have not learned the extracts for.; Looting a body in the open after a loud spray..
Patch days change timings. Recheck your drop, extract, site, or loadout before you copy last week’s VOD.
If you only remember one thing: audio, peek discipline, and extract planning.
